FCA US recently issued a “do not drive” warning for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles that have open and unrepaired Takata air bag recalls. They report that approximately 225,000 US vehicles have not yet been repaired. More than 6.6 million air bag inflators in FCA vehicles have been replaced since the initial recalls.
If your vehicle is on the following list, don’t drive it until the defective air bag is replaced. Recalls are free at the manufacturer’s dealership.

Check for Vehicle Recalls
More than 67 million Takata air bags have been recalled in tens of millions of US vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that 28 people in the US have been killed by an exploding air bag to date; at least 400 have been injured by exploding Takata air bag inflators.
Check your vehicle for open Takata recalls at NHTSA.gov/Recalls. If your vehicle has been recalled, contact the dealership to schedule a free repair as soon as possible. Older models put drivers and passengers at higher risk because older air bags are more likely to explode.
