Celebrate the 4th of July in Ripley County

There is no shortage of great Independence Day celebrations in Ripley County. Whether you want to see the fireworks, go to a parade, or hear a symphony orchestra perform, there is an activity for you. We’re rounding up the Ripley County fireworks schedule for July 2019.

Milan Fourth of July Celebration

Milan’s annual celebration kicks off with an ice cream social at the Milan Baptist Church from 4-7 p.m. on July 3rd. On July 4th, there is a breakfast at the United Methodist Church from 7-9 a.m. Registration for the Milan Lions Club Parade begins at 8 a.m. and the parade takes place at 10 a.m. The fireworks display begins at dusk on July 4th at Daren Baker Memorial Park.

Ripley County Chamber Night Fireworks

The 19th Annual Ripley County Chamber Night Fireworks will be held on Friday, July 5th at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and features live entertainment sponsored by Margaret Mary Health, including a performance by the Keith Swinney Band at 7 p.m. There will be food booths as well as a flea market and craft vendors. Bring your own lawn chair! Fireworks begin at dark.

Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Performance

The Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) presents a performance by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on July 6th at 8 p.m. This free concert featuring the entire orchestra and a fireworks display will take place at the Bill Gillespie Soccer Park. Gates will open at 4 p.m. so you can claim your spot early!

Versailles State Park Fireworks

Enjoy a vivid fireworks display over Versailles Lake beginning at dusk on Saturday, July 6th at Versailles State Park.

Stay safe while enjoying the fireworks and don’t forget to pack sunscreen and bug spray for earlier in the day!
